Here's how it works: we start with a base price and add the cost of your choice of options from the table below. With base price of $685 US for a Jazz bass or $695 for a P-bass, you get:

Alder body
White pickguard, 3 ply white/black/white laminate.
Open gear tuning machines, disk style string tree in nickel
Precision split pickups are humbucking, Jazz pickups are single coil with one pickup negative wound and negative polarity to cancel hum.
Rosewood fingerboard
Fender licensed headstock
CTS potentiometers, Switchcraft jack, cloth wire and full copper shielding are standard in all CertainBasses.
CertainBass proprietary build techniques and set-up.

Left hand basses? Yes! We also now do short scale basses! And headless basses! There are other options; just ask and we can discuss them. My standard price bass is a fine bass suitable for any musician but economical enough for a beginner or even for that pro on a budget looking to add a high-quality battle-ready axe to his or her arsenal. I always want my basses to be accessible to all lovers of the instrument.
